Sr. Angela's Reward

God’s work belongs to Him and yet He shares with us the privilege of accomplishing it with Him. He wants us to be His hands and feet. He also makes use of our very souls, as we are not His slaves, since He has called us friends. Sr. Angela was a true friend of God, and He was her spouse- her Beloved. She was given a heart for God’s work with His children, and they became her children. The mother of these many children has been called home to the heart of Jesus. Sr. Angela passed from this life in Eldoret, Kenya on March 1, 2021. For the past several years Sr. Angela suffered from various health issues which could not be resolved. Despite this, she continued with God’s work. She is not finished yet! Many are committed to continuing here on earth as she intercedes from eternity.

Sr. Angela founded the Nyaatha Fund and named it such, out of mercy. Nyaatha means “Mother of Mercy.” Sr. Angela was “Nyaatha” to the countless she touched throughout her religious life. She received a beautiful send-off; a tribute to how so many love her and will miss her. The first Mass for her took place on March 4 at the Cathedral in Eldoret. The photos which show an inside Mass took place there, with many Sisters present. Her body was then transported to Turbo, where the Mother-house of the Assumption Sisters is located. Several more Masses were celebrated throughout the night for the repose of her soul. Her funeral took place on March 5 in Turbo. This was an outdoor Mass, and many traveled from all over Kenya to attend. Sr. Angela was buried in Turbo after the Mass. The funeral was live-streamed on the Facebook page for UpendoFm89.4OfficialPage- the radio station sponsored by the Diocese of Eldoret. This was still available recently and is well worth experiencing!

Please enjoy the photos and video clips posted on this website- www.nyaatharayofhope.org One can’t help but experience how Sr. Angela touched so many lives: her Sisters in the ASE, her rescued children, her family, and her many, many friends. As your heart is touched please ask the Lord how you can help carry on His work. I pray that you will have a heart for this, the Lord’s work.
