All in God’s Good Time!

When April began, the construction of the Morning Star Building was at a standstill, almost as though there was an intentional Lenten rest. The reality was that we were waiting on the Lord to speak his desire into the hearts of those HE wished to donate to the project. We had spent all we had been given so far, but after this much proof that God provides, we waited in expectation.

A married couple in the U.S. who donates faithfully, sent a much larger than usual check right before Holy Week. They explained to me that they had received an unexpected large sum of money, and having received the newsletter, they saw God’s hand in providing a way they could help. Right away, Sr. Hellen knew they could move forward with buying the paint. Within a week, another family in Kenya gave a large donation out of the blue, so now the tiles and the window panes could be officially ordered and paid for.

After finishing up these basics, a few more doors are needed, and then the furnishings. Upstairs will be the dormitory, and twenty-five bunk beds are anticipated, making a potential for fifty boys. Downstairs will be classrooms and counseling rooms. We continue to wait on the Lord and are grateful to see that this is all coming together through a partnership between U.S. and Kenyan people of good will. God is good, all the time, and all in God’s good time!
